Privacy policy
How this site handles your data: it doesn’t collect any. Last updated October 2026.
The short version
US Time Zone Map is a static website with no server-side personal data processing, no cookies, no analytics scripts, and no third-party requests at runtime. Nothing you do on this page is logged or sent anywhere.
What we do and don’t collect
- Times & clocks: computed locally from your device’s own time zone database (IANA/ICU). Your clock never leaves your browser.
- Map interactions: search, zoom, and selections run entirely in your browser; no request is made.
- Geo data: the zone and state geometry are public-domain files served from this domain — no third parties.
- Advertising: ad slots on this site are reserved but disabled. No ad publisher or unit IDs are configured, so no advertising scripts load and no ad personal data is processed.
- Local preferences: your display settings and theme choice are stored only in your browser's
localStorage(keystzdash-settingsandtz-theme) to remember your choices between visits, and closing an ad placeholder setstz-ad-dismissedinsessionStorage, which your browser clears when the tab session ends. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party, and you can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.localStorageis not a cookie and is not subject to the cookie statement above.
Advertising & consent
If advertising is enabled in the future, we will follow applicable consent and privacy requirements (including ePrivacy/GDPR where relevant), add a clear disclosure and controls, and keep ad content from interfering with the map or its controls. Nothing about advertising may override the above: the map and its data remain self-hosted and tracker-free.
