About this map
A free map of where U.S. time zones run and what time it is in each, built to be fast and private: static pages, and times from your own device’s clock.

US Time Zone Map is for people who work across zones: see where the boundaries actually run, check current local times in any city, and compare two zones at a glance. Every page is static, the map is a single self-hosted SVG, and times come from your device’s own time zone database rather than a server.
What’s on the site
- Interactive maps — the US map (zones + state boundaries + 101 cities), six per-zone pages, and a world/regional cluster.
- State reference — a canonical page for every state that crosses a zone boundary, with live clocks and exception notes.
- Tools — a time zone converter and a live-current-time dashboard.
Design principles
Geographic correctness is a product requirement, not a cosmetic one: every city clock uses its real IANA zone, state pages document where each zone line runs, times are derived from the IANA database so daylight saving is always right, and there are no third-party tiles, scripts, or trackers. The site stays accurate as the tz database updates.
