Advertising and affiliate disclosure
US Time Zone Map is free to use. This page explains how the site intends to pay for itself and what that means for you. It describes the site as it is today and will be updated before anything here changes.
Advertising
Some pages contain spaces reserved for display advertising. Each is marked “Ad”, sits in a fixed-size box so the page doesn’t jump when an ad loads, and is never placed over the map, its controls or the search box.
Today those spaces are empty placeholders: no ad network is connected, no advertising scripts load, and no advertising cookies are set. If an ad network is added, the privacy policy will be updated first to name it and describe its cookies, and a consent choice will be shown where the law requires one.
Affiliate links
The site currently has no affiliate links. In future it may recommend products related to time zones, such as printed wall maps or scheduling software. If it does, each recommendation will:
- be labelled “Recommended” and placed after the tool’s result, never in place of it;
- use links marked
rel="sponsored", so search engines know they are paid; - be chosen because it fits the page, not because of the commission rate.
What doesn’t change
Advertisers and partners have no say over the map, the times it shows or the guides. Times are always computed in your browser from the IANA time zone database; nobody can pay to change them. The about page explains who runs the site, and the data sources page lists where the map comes from.
