Contact and corrections
Report a wrong boundary, offset or city clock. Tell us what and where; we check every report against the IANA time zone database and U.S. Census data before changing anything.
What to include
- The page (map, state, or zone) and the exact spot or city.
- What it currently shows vs. what you believe is correct.
- A source if you have one (a city’s official time zone, a government page, etc.).
What we check
Corrections are triaged against the two data sources this site trusts: the IANA time zone database (for offsets & DST) and US Census TIGER (for state boundaries). SeeData Sources for the exact versions and update cadence.
How fast we respond
Factual errors (a wrong offset, a mislabeled boundary, a city in the wrong state) are the top priority: they’re verified against the source datasets and fixed on the next build. Content improvements and new state-map requests are worked through in weekly maintenance passes alongside the time-zone database refresh.
