What you get on paper

• 65 simplified world zones with shaded-outline geometry (Timezone Boundary Builder 2026e)

• The hour-band legend (night / dawn / day / dusk / late night)
• Zone outlines that stay legible in black-and-white laser prints

For classrooms and offices

Teachers: use the live map on a projector, then print this version as the handout. Offices: pair the wall print with the live US time zone map on a screen so the printed zones stay honest against real-time clocks. The SVG scales losslessly, so print at whatever size your printer allows.

PDF: “Save as PDF” in the browser print dialog gives a vector-precise PDF of exactly what’s on this page — zones, legend, and city list.

Want a smaller wall poster of one region instead? TheUS time zone map andEurope time zone map crops print cleanly at letter size too.

Frequently asked questions

Can I print the map for classroom use?

Yes — it’s free. The printable page uses a print stylesheet so the map, legend, and zone table print cleanly on A4 or Letter, with no navigation or controls.

Is this map accurate enough for teaching?

For classroom use, yes. Zone geometry is from Timezone Boundary Builder 2026e, which is built from OpenStreetMap boundaries and the IANA time zone database, then simplified for the web — so borders are approximate at county scale. Sub-hour zones (Nepal, Iran) are marked.

Do I need JavaScript to print it?

No. The map’s zone outlines and labels render even without JS; only the live shading and ticking city clocks need it. The offset tables are static and always print.
