Nevada is on Pacific Time — Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City, Elko, Ely, and Tonopah all share California’s clock. The exception is West Wendover, on the Utah line, which follows Mountain Time to stay in step with neighboring Wendover, Utah and Salt Lake City. A few other small Elko County towns near the Idaho and Utah borders, such as Jackpot, informally keep Mountain Time too.
